Support Asociacion Rio Cali
This year, Hadra is helping Rio Cali.
This small Colombian association has been found thanks to the help the "redcre" (Red Colombiana de Restauración ecologica) and the Dr. Carolina Murcia (University of Florida) because it was a small serious structure, with an ecological conservation objective and deeply involved into the local, social and solidarity economy.

Colombia is one of the pioneering countries in ecological restoration in Latin America. Acting since more than 60 years, the goal is to restore 1 million hectares by 2035 and these actions are only possible because of the engagement of local communities.
Río Cali is a non profit organisation that acts for sustainable development in the community of Cali, in south-west Colombia. This region, which biodiversity is one of the richest of Colombia, is inhabited by more than 500.000 people.
The members of the associations live in rural communities and work for ecological conservation. They organise forest protection, educational workshops for children, agro-ecological alternative awareness campaign for farmers, birdwatching development (touristic guide training, observation tour, a national event – Columbia bird fair).
When you’ll buy your ticket for Hadra Trance Festival, you can add 1€ for Río Cali.
To balance the environmental impact of the festival, the association will develop ecological restoration actions (by buying small deforested plots, a seed bank, making reforestation and increasing the educational side of the association).
Dr. Carolina Murcia, a leader in ecological restoration and certified practitioner will help the association to ensure their access to the latest technical knowledge. This is a long-term investment in an area that suffered from deforestation during the 20th century but is gradually recovering and experiencing the return of a fantastic diversity of birds, mammals, insects and plants.
