The Hadra team has finally packed up and reluctantly left the beautiful landscapes of Lans-en-Vercors...We were around 10.000 people, 200 artists and 300 volunteers to gather round Hadra's 10th anniversary during these timeless 4 days.
We sincerely want to thank you all for joining us and making our mountains vibrate, for your smiles and your powerful and rare energy in time of crisis...
Moreover, thank you to our private and public partners who have believed in our project and have decided to associate their image to our event.

This 2011 edition of the Hadra Trance Festival is a ten years work recognition and we're very proud to have built up for the 5th time in France this event who represents Hadra's touch and work and which is the most close to our heart. The festival was born of a common passion for trance music and of the dream to revive this culture in France. But it seems that even if the Hadra Trance Festival has become one of the major psytrance event in Europe and worldwide, even if the Hadra Recording Label has become the first psytrance label in france and a widely known label worldwide with his french and international artists, even if many young and old organizations work all together to support and develop this thriving culture, it is clear that we're far off...

During 2011, cultural events and organizations have been facing many difficulties (notably the cancellation of the French-Mexican cultural year which has been a hard blow for us) and in particular regarding electronic music events organizers...Systematic controls, administrative cancellations for non-reliable reasons hide the negation and the fear of those kind of events, even if well organized and legal.

You should know that public grants are quite high for some cultural branches whereas it is definitely low, verily nonexistent, for that kind of events despite the fact that it gathers a growing popular audience from days and days...
We've been facing growing expenditures to meet draconian measures about people welcome and security, and moreover because some of our providers take advantage of their exclusive control to charge very prohibitive rates ! The festival budget has in this way been increased by 63 % (as compared with last year's festival) and it has reached the surprising amount of 574.700 €, 90% self-financed ! And even-if some of our partners has been backing us regarding the budget increase we've been facing (for that matter, many thanks to Région Rhône-Alpes), many of them have been quite afraid to stick their neck out...whereas the Hadra Trance Festival gathers a very large european audience and highlight an international programming that improves our cultural inheritance and the reputation of our region !

After the festival had been cancelled in 2007 and 2009, we've had the good luck to be welcomed warmly in 2010 and 2011 by Jean-Paul Gouttenoire, the wonderful mayor of Lans-en-Vercors who has been supporting us from the beginning and showing a great political courage that little local councillors can boast about. Nevertheless, the festival opponents are starting to unite to get in the way of next year's festival, and in spite of the support and the recognition we've got this year from the authorities, our partners and the medias, the future of the festival will be decided in Lans-en-Vercors.
